Re:

adnohr, I love to cook.  I didn't know about steel cut oats until Ciel posted it.  I'm looking forward to trying them.  Thank you so much for your comment.

Cooking relieves stress, I find. I enjoy it too. I also like steel cut oats!

Re:

Kabu, thank you so much for the lovely comment. We do have a happy home and the children love coming here.  I've always got something cooking on the stove, oven, or in the crockpot.

Re:

Taps, your Sunday morning sounds delightful.  I'm glad your sons are coming over to visit.  One of my favorite things to do is Bible Study.  A few years ago I studied the whole Bible.  It took me over a year but I learned so much during that time.  Stay warm.

Re: I find myself preoccupied with food, but not with cooking.

Pat, I love cooked chicken.  We go so early our deli isn't open yet.  It makes for such an easy and delicious meal.

Re:

FSI, I'm going to try the recipe Sassy shared with me.  It sounds easy enough.

Sassy, thanks so much!  It sounds easy enough.  I think I can do it.

I spent my Sunday Morning going to Sunday School and Church in Florida via live-streaming.   My Florida son taught the adult Bible study today and he is the song leader at the church.  The regular adult Bible Study teacher had to stay home because he was exposed to covid-19.   Son P.D. and Phil are supposed to be over this afternoon.  The sun is shining but it is really cold.  I'm afraid I ate biscoti for breakfast instead of something more healthy.  The were good.

I find myself preoccupied with food, but not with cooking.

I've begun to schedule my grocery shopping trips to coincide with the hours their deli serves cooked chicken.

I myself do not have any recipes. It does sound intriguing.

I found an easy recipe for you to try.

I have never eaten them. The quick oats with fruit are more my style. Good luck. Let me know how they turned out.
