I did end up Marching for Peace in the Australian marchs during the Vietnam days. We had conscription in Australia and it seemed so unfair to me, besides why the hell were we all there. There were many American boys who came to Sydney for Rand R and spent money like a running tap. " Why Not," they would say. " I am only going back there to die." broke my soft little heart so it did.

I wish I had answers for the ways of the world. So much seems senseless to me. We lost so many in the Viet Nam War and so many came home and got sick from Agent Orange. I have an older cousin that was exposed to it and it's caused so many problems for him and there are other people that I know that were exposed to Agent Orange. It's all a tragedy to me. This virus is scary for all of us.

Well said. I was around during the Viet Nam war....had a couple of friends who lost sons to it. Thank you for serving. It was a terrible time for those who did. My sons were about ten years too young for it and as a mother, I was so glad they were.
