Sea Gypsy, this is truly good news! Congratulations to all of you. This has been a really hard year for all of us and just like you said good news is something to celebrate. I'm sending many blessings to your nephew.

As a matter of fact, we also get very little world news on the major news
networks, with the possible exception of the BBC news on National Public Radio or the Channel 9 evening news. Most "news" these days is statistics on the pandemic, and political gossip/opinion. I think our personal focus on the immediate, on what's going on in the "here and now" is basic survival instinct. In a way we're pioneers, isolated on the open prairies, foraging and dealing with the day-to-day and the elements (weather patterns) as humankind has always done.
