Intellectually, yeah! Emotionally, maybe. It seemed when I was a young wife that everytime I made tuna cassarole, that was when he missed dinner. I quit making it. Problem solved.

There are a lot of things that wives don't understand about husbands.  (And visa versa)

I never had to put up with this altho. The father of my kids ate with us, and then went out every evening to the point where I din't enjoy sharing the TV with him. I was usually in bed reading a book when he got home. it wasn't helpful to the marriage.

I wouldn't pass on a slice of Devil's food cake right now.

Luckily for me, my hubby is in a job that allows him to be home for most meals. I do pack him quite a large lunch in the event that he has to pull a double shift. I would think that business lunches come with different jobs and that the wife would understand, but not if it becomes a habit.
