Re: PAT
I guess we have to slow down a bit, or wear and tear comes more quickly. Perhaps the cave man did not look up so much as he or she were not worried about monkeys.

I have slowed up. The back that I knew would really be a nuisance when I got old... but that was soo far down the road. Now my back is the best weather predictor around worse luck...and the pain runs down the road.

Pat, I've seriously never thought about this but I think I walk slower but with purpose. I have to always be aware of my surroundings and that takes work because I'm also a dreamer and I can be thinking about something and walking at the same time. I do this quite a bit. My thoughts are usually in the clouds. This is why make-believe is so easy for me. My children have never understood the way I think but they do like the way I write. Great post!

You have touched on many different though provoking subjects.
My hubby and I sit at the park and people watch. It can be fascinating. It is funny how people tend not to look up, and for most, they do not look side to side, preferring the straight-ahead approach towards whatever or wherever they are headed to. As for raking the leaves, a half an hour is no joke. That makes for a great workout. Then there is the skinny/fat walk debate that I never really thought about until you mentioned it, and you are right. We take walks with our daughters on sunny, weather-permitting weekends. I am tall and skinny. I tend to walk fast with long strides, and with purpose. Our youngest daughter is short and overweight. She walks slow and without purpose.

Sitting and people watching is a fun thing to do, pandemic or not. Add daydreaming to that and you win!
