Re: Re: Goldiec,

Thanks for explaining about your numbers.  I do hope your numbers even out this week.  I just emptied the dishwasher and put everything away.  I don't think we will have turkey for Christmas.  I think it will probably be ham but I'm not sure yet.  I hope you have a good night.

Re: Amanda, thanks!

I hope you did, too!

Re: Goldiec,

Very high numbers are bad over a long term, very low ones can be deadly very fast! That is what causes the diabetic coma, when someone desperately needs sugar added in their system very quickly. No worry of that for me these days!

I also had to clear room in the fridge for the turkey before and the left-overs after! The dishwasher ran twice on the day, and twice the day after! It will be a while yet before my little kitchen is clean and clear again!

I can't even think about Christmas yet... probably won't be turkey, though.

Re: adnohr,

Back and blood-sugar numbers are better. Well, the back, anyway. And the most naughty of the leftovers are finally finished off, so the numbers will be better soon. I hope you and all your family, two- and four-footed, are all well!

Re: Sea Gypsy,

Thanks! Now the stuffing and yams are finished, and the little cheesecake is done, the blood sugar numbers have a better chance of leveling off at a reasonable level. I hope you also had a good Thanksgiving!

Re: Kabu,

Right... I stay home the day after Thanksgiving, but spend a few odd dollars online.

Re: CCT,

One of the doves turned up the other cold, cold morning... It sat there on the rail looking so cold itself! It looked at me looking at it, and when I came back in a moment with a camera, it had gone.  And yes, thank the deities of healing for all the little pills!

Re: Pat,

The mountain goes from ghostly in the pre-dawn, to pink, then gold, then all bright white... and a darkening grey silhouette as the afternoon passes. And this time of day, the leaves still on the trees--drab tan and dull orange in the afternoon are back-lit, hanging like little lanterns clinging to the twigs!

Re: sassyass,

Yes, the numbers go down... and up and down again... What is spiral stuffing?

Re: Annicita,

Yes, a little high-powered tylenol goes a long way!

I hope your blood sugar levels have come down.  I don't know much about this but I do know if the levels are high it's not good.  It sounds like you had a wonderful day.  I'm so thankful all our leftovers are gone.  It was hard getting anything into the fridge when I had all my dishes in there.  My dishwasher is full and I'm going to run it soon. Once the last of the dishes are put away the kitchen will be back to normal.  Now I'm going to plan Christmas. I hope you have a good day today!

Leftovers are a favorite part of any celebration, aren't they? Nice to read that you enjoyed the holiday safely, and hope the back pain will cease and desist!

Hope the blood sugar is back down now and that you are getting rested from yesterday and from today. It sounds like you had a great day and here's wishes for a Happy Belated Thanksgiving.

be safe going out today. I meant to go out myself but then remembered it is black friday. Yes, the sales day has reached even into Canada's Ottawa Valley.

Well glad you enjoyed the break. I wonder what the doves are doing? We are having first frosts but it is supposed to become milder. I wonder what we would do without our pills?

Oh, those Tylenol days... signal from the bod to rest a bit I think.

I love thinking about the view you have from your window. Be safe.

That is one lovely vision that you have outside of your window. Lucky you.

Hopefully, you can now get your levels down. Just walk away from the cheesecake no matter how much it calls out your name.

Thanksgiving only comes once a year.

We had several dishes, but I only made a small plate with turkey and gravy, but I did also indulge in small portions of spiral stuffing, potatoes, and one piece of the pie.
