Pat

I can't get over the idea of chocolate pecan pie! Mmm. I'm sorry that Rich and daughter weren't able to make it. I hope all is well. It sounds like you had a good day and I wish you a belated Happy Thanksgiving. That's quite a high positivity rate at 7%. It's pretty bad here also.

Re: Kabu

Well, now there's another idea!  I think that's how I prepared them a time or two, except that I didn't mash them. Couldn't get anyone in the family to eat them, so I never actually got to a favorite method.  Worth a try, thanks for the hint.  Be safe.

How I cook my brussel sprouts.

Boil in sausepan until soft.

Strain well and smash them with the potato masher. Add butter not too much about a spoon full and another spoon of virgin Olive oil. Use black pepper instead of salt or salt if you must. Return to top of stove and toss all togeether until butter is melted. Delicious.

Re: Re: Goldiec

Pat, it's been very quiet all afternoon and I'm thankful for that.

Glad to hear that you are doing OK Pat. I think it is wise to take it easy these days.

Normal would be so nice, I expect one day it will stagger along.

I saw this recipe for Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Radicchio. I don't know if you would like it or not, but here it is.

1# small brussel sprouts trimmed

2 heads radicchio cut each into 6 wedges

1 large shallot

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 tbs honey. Heat oven to 425. On rimmed baking sheet, toss all ingredients with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Roast, stirring once, until brussel sprouts and radicchio are tender and lightly browned, 20-25 min.

Count me All-In for that positivity rate.

I would love to see the amount of good in 2021 as 2020 was bad. As for that chocolate-pecan pie, I have never tried one, but it sounds heavenly.

Re: Goldiec

It's good to read you had a happy holiday, and I can identify with you on need for a day of rest after the busy-ness and hubbub...

Pat, it sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I love the holiday and we really enjoyed it and now that it's over I'm very thankful. I need a day of rest.  We put everything away and the dishes in the dishwasher are clean and that is a very good thing. I hope you have a good day!
