FSI, I had to smile when I read your feelings on Cafe duty.  When I was in Junior High School I spent my lunch hour working in the cafeteria kitchen.  I can remember how I felt the first week.  I absolutely hated it.  I did manage to finish out the semester though and each week it was a little easier than the one before.

The variety of experiences the school offers are a kind of an education too, I feel. Handling a tough duty well is a reward.

The teacher that was the faculty monitor in the cafeteria held up my misplaced umbrella kid.

I think your description of cafe duty sums up the experience perfect. It did suck!!!

That had to be the worst job of your life.

It doesn't help when you are working with grouchy people and others who are taking advantage of you, but it appears that it was a bit of a character builder. I mean, look how well you turned out. Happy Thanksgiving!
