I forgot to mention that you must be a very proud daughter.

That is quite an accomplishment that you mom has under her belt. Very nice.

Vacuuming is a never ending chore.

I have a bagless vacuum that is in constant need of being cleaned due to the dust from the nearby railroad and trains that run past our house. Sigh.

Re: Re: TAPS,

Ciel, that is sad.  We were big family crowded into a small house, not much money for spending, one pair of shoes at a time, but loving fun was always to be found.

Re: Kabu,

Maybe finding some house-cleaning theme music would help... Mine:

Re: TAPS,

Your family knew about love and loving. Mine--not so much.

Re: Pat,

It's an intermittant relief, actually, as my lower back starts whinging and muttering any time I'm on my feet for any length of time, and expecially when I am lifing and carrying anything much. But the weight I've been losing seems to be helping that, as I've got 10-15lbs less of me to carry around.

Re: Goldiec,

In fact, my moms both went to U of California at Berkely, and both earned degrees. Beverly who was my birth mom got hers in astronomy. Charlotte, my step-mom did get that home-ec degree, and that while she was a single mom after the death of her husband. But she had to stop school just a couple of credits short of the biology degree she cared about. They were there at the same time, had friends in common, but never met each other.

Good post.  I can remember sitting on my Daddy's lap and I do not remember why I stopped but I think it had something to do with younger siblings.  I had a Sis two years younger than me, a brother four years younger, Sis Nila seven years younger than I and baby sis 15 years younger.   I don't remember him ever telling me I was too old.

Oh good for you. I am glad that Trish comes once a week and Bosses me into a tidy house and clean clothing. Well she mostly does everything while I float around. I have always enjoyed a clean and tidy home but house work bores me silly.

At the end of a busy day like that the comfy chair is a well-earned reward.

Ciel, you were a busy bee!  I know it feels good to accomplish so much in one day. I was amazed at your Mom's accomplishment at the university.  That is truly awesome!  I hope you have a good day!
