Re: In our little town the Mayor & City Council have instituted a new
Pat, when I read about the statue I was glad to hear they were going to move it and not tear it down. I believe it's part of history that people need to know. I think that we will get warnings if we break the rules but then we can be fined.

In our little town the Mayor & City Council have instituted a new
weapon against the pandemic. Anyone seen in public without a mask can be fined up to $250. No indoor dining - carry-out only, no gatherings for coffee and gossip. We've had our own version of street protests - tame by comparison thank heavens. There's a statue in the town square of the man it's named after - someone researched and found he was a slave owner (1833 - before the Civil War and the Emancipation). So they've taken his name off the square and will be moving his statue to the historical museum or some other place.

Re: Goldiec
BC-A, I just don't know what to think. We will be at home until this craziness is over. I hope it's over before my birthday in December.

There are a lot of orange zones in New York State. New restrictions will be imposed soon in New Jersey. A restaurant, New York Winery in New York City is going to charge $50 for a rapid COVID-19 test, to enter and eat.
