I'm glad you voted. There are many who felt that way last election. They also thought what does my vote matter since Hillary is a shoe in. Well we found out differently. So kudos!

I am now feeling really thankful for living in a small borough.

Our voting station is held at the fireman's social hall. The line at most during peak time might be twenty people long. I am dreading it all the same because people have the need to know who you voted for. I believe that it is private considering that it really can stir up debates and ugly conversations. I plan to do it quickly and quietly.

Most everyone who stood in line with me when we voted were very

considerate of keeping their distance, there was some conversation, but we chatted about kids, grandkids, cooking - anything but politics. In our county they give you the pen you use to mark your ballot. It says "I voted."  Good on you for braving your fears and casting your ballot.

Sea Gypsy, I'm so glad you voted and that everything worked out okay.  I did vote by mail but in Ohio, they have a place online that you can see if the Board of Elections received your ballot and if it will be counted and I checked and everything is good to go for me.  I felt good about that because I really want my vote to count.  I'm not sure how this election will turn out but at least we can say we voted.
