Re: Re: Re: Jemmie

I am so glad to hear how close you were to your own father. My dad seems to be much the same as your own. Only my daddy didn't give just a look: He made it known I was the most important person in his life! hahaha

And thank you so much for the path to see comment replies to comments! That is very helpful!

Re: Re: Jemmie

I saw your reply when I looked at the Home Page under New for Me. I clicked on that. I then clicked on Reply to answer you, under your answer to my comment.

My dad was the best; the sweetest, kindest, most patient and intelligent man, yet humble, generous and humorous (to those who “got” his jokes). He forgot more than I ever learned, while remaining cogent until he passed. I remember guys I would date coming to the house - he was polite but there was always that veiled warning in his look. Now I smile at those days.

Re:

I was totally (still am) a Daddy's girl. Daddy was my best friend. He was my life! And I am told I was his. I once had a friend over at his house (a male friend)...I went to the bathroom, but I heard Daddy telling my friend that I was the most important person in the world to him. The threat was implied. LOL I was both mortified and touched deeply at the same time.

Your dad was lucky to have a daughter and a girlfriend who cared so much about him. We’re you a “Daddy’s Girl?” I was. Still am, though he’s been gone 20 years, as I‘ve mentione. Every time I look in the mirror, I see Daddy’s eyes. They are my eyes. Your dad would not want you to cry. I think he lives within you. There are people who never knew their father, and those who never knew the love of a father, the security a father brings to a child and the joy. For having experienced having a great father, I am grateful. You can be grateful for your dad also. Peace to you.
