Halloween is a Holiday

I just saw this post and I love it!  I've always thought of Halloween as a Holiday too!  Anything that makes life fun is a holiday for me. Thanks for the smile this evening!  You are proof that life can be fun.

Yes it takes a kind of spirited action to effect the occasion. Dad looks cute.

That is cute.

We dress up for Halloween because my hubby and I share a birthday at the end of October, so our kids always have a birthday/Halloween party for us. They also give prizes for the best costume. I have a really awesome witch costume and my hubby wears a freaky clown mask with a steampunk hat and creepy overalls and boots. He also carries a large fake machete that is bloodstained.

We made our own costumes in those days - and there was one

occasion when I wrapped up as a mummy and used up all the green eyeshadow, to horrify all who looked upon me at the halloween party for the kids at our Moose lodge. I still get a big kick out of all the little trick or treaters in princess or superhero costumes.  Love the manwich idea - will be laughing about that for awhile.

Sea Gypsy

My father wore a pirate mask, with a fly on the nose.
