Yes, we have. We had a major double birthday party in October 2014.
It wasn't that cold considering we are in Pennsylvania. We had an outdoor birthday/Halloween party with a DJ, and a complete buffet table. Surprisingly, the food stayed warm, and everyone had a great time.

No, I would prefer indoors. I feel for restaurants that are going to lose revenue once it gets cold outside.

Wouldn't the food get cold? I'd consider it if I were considering dining out - but it's not time yet for me to try that here.
