Oh my!  I'm so very sorry! God Bless you all! The fires are making things so bad for so many people! I hope your niece's business is away from the fires.

I am so sorry about your sister. fairies are so much fun and easy to love.

They are ornery, but they are also whimsical.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:

She is a strong person and a very loved one by many people.  Actually she eventually had to have a second brain surgery with no guarantee she would never have to have another.  Last year when they were making a trip and were changing planes in Phoenix her beloved husband had a sudden brain aneurism and died.  They rushed him to the hospital in Phoenix because he was a donar and was kept "alive"  until his organs were harvested and used.  Until that time she kept up hope that he could be saved but it was not to be.  They had no children so she is alone with their pets and many friends and their business that they worked at together, trying to keep it all together.  Now on top of that is the California fires with many of her friends losing their homes.  Sorry so long.

Oh my, that was a very hard time for everyone!  I wish you the very best.  Is your niece okay now?  I hope so. God Bless you!

Re: Re: Re: Re:

It was a sad situation all around and not a time to worry about collections.  Niece was in California having brain surgery and Sis was in the last stages of metastatic cancer and neither could travel to the other.  It was six months before niece could fly here so we could hold a memorial service for Sis and then she had to fly straight back.  It was about a year before niece was able to come back to KC to sell the house and take care of her belongings.  I could not help as I was working long as a nurse just before I was retiring.  It was not a time to worry about fairies and such.

Re: Re: Re:

Taps, I'm wondering if you were offered anything from her collections?  It would have been so nice to have some Beanie Babies and fairies since they were something your sister loved.

Re: Re:

I'm not sure how big.  She was a collector of several things.  She got into Beanie Babies at one time and I know she had (and gave) a lot of those.  Her fairies she usually displayed just a few at a time.  When she passed away, her California Daughter took all of her collections home with her.

My Sister Barbara loved the fairies.  I miss her so much.  I hope there are sweet fairies in heaven.
