C_C_T, thank you so much for the comment. Roy did love his pie and thank you for asking. It lasted for most of the week. I think the extra cinnamon really made the difference. I don't know much about the Gulf stream but I sure hope you have a mild winter.

Kabu, I've read about the Spanish flu and it was so bad. I had a great Aunt that lost her husband and children to this flu. I've seen pictures of the people wearing masks during that outbreak. Kabu, you are such a delight and I think of you as a dear friend. I always look forward to your posts. How is Mr. Graysome doing? I hope well!

my Mother told me all about the Spanish flu and how her baby sister almost died from it. That was last year or the year before. It is in here somewhere. LOL. But when writing it I had no idea what we had coming our way.Keep warm keep writing Keep safe. You have become a friend.

Well you obviously were pleased with your shopping. I don't think I would relish a cold Winter .I have been told it depends a lot on the Gulf stream. I suppose even a degree above freezing is not so dusty. We do not seem to celebrate Halloween, children sometimes come around, but I think somehow they cannot be bothered and of course this year has put the lid on it completely. I hope your man enjoyed his pie.
