I would have to say yes because if there is some sort of danger you must be aware of the situation and also protect the child. In class it's important to know where both the child and teacher are coming from.  Then there's the school rules and they have to be considered too.

Yes! Every situation is different.

The child's welfare should be first and foremost, and then the lesson as well as allowing them to talk about to see what was the determining factor of the situation.
