Oof - I've picked up books where I seem to understand little of what I'm reading, and cringe in my self perceived lack of intelligence. Fortunate that you were able to listen to this lovely lady and able to read your nephew's book with a new awareness! As we age it may take a little longer, but we usually do get it! Congratulations to them both, by the way!

We all need to be shook a bit every once in a while. It gets rid of the cobwebs and has us questioning what we believe and do.

TAPS

Good to read your posts and yes, after researching Dr. Nicole a bit, I understand what you meant in your post. I have a feeling this is the new vernacular for a concept that many of us have subscribed to for a long while. Congratulations to your nephew.

Ooops, I miss read/heard.  The tiger is on the loose in Tennessee, not here.

Re: Did you catch the tiger by the toe?

Something like that.   Did you read that a tiger is loose in Kansas City and no one knows where it came from.  Officials are searching for it and trying to find out where it came from.

I'm glad this was a positive experience. When you read your mystery by Baldacci, please let me know if you like it.

Variety is the spice of life.

When including different types of people in various situations, a lot can be learned and appreciated.
