I'm not sure how but I think I missed this post. My village has a recycling truck to do pick-ups on Friday. They gave us a large light green can to put our recycling in and mine is always full to the top. Last year they changed the rules and there are now only certain things that they want in the cans. I've been recycling for many years and I always tell the children it's important to save the world.

Since Covid our Municipality has stipulated that all recycling articles be put in bags then into the bin for pick-up. It is hoisted by a machine, so there is minimum handling by the employee. Much safer.

Our trash company wants all of the recyclables - then they make money on them and I pat the trash bill. No more cashing them in.

WE are into recycling 1 for rubbish 1 for recyables 1 for glass 1 for small electrical goods . A bag for clothes plastic can for engine oil . I also have 3 paid for bins for green waste. Yes it does get a bit confusing sometimes.

That is a wonderful set up. We are big on recycling, and composting.
If everybody would recycle we could stop the carbon footprints that we have been leaving on the planet for hundreds of years.
