Oh, you have hit the nail on the proverbial head, here. With distance learning it's just terrible, both for teacher and students. Why did no one think of this. The opthamologists are seeing more and more children with vision problems and are recommending blue light glasses due to so much computer time. My poor grandsons. I think I will get some, also.

For sure too much time at screens are not good for the eyes.

Too much screen time is hazardous to your eyesight.

I have spent many hours per day on a desktop computer over the past decade. I now need reading glasses while on the computer due to the lengthy pc sessions.

Screen Time

I've also thought about this and with the virtual school for the beginning of the year, I really do think it's a problem.  I don't think it's healthy to sit and look at a screen for hours on end.  There's also all the games the kids play online.  That puts them in front of the screen for longer periods of time. They really do need a lot of breaks in between their learning and the games they play.
