Re: Re: So true
BC_A, thanks for the great comment. I'm so happy that the storms have cleared out and even though it's cloudy it's a nice day. The humidity is way down and the temps are down too!

Re: So true
BC_A, that's really a good way of looking at it. The sound of a storm outside can be scary and you really don't want to be participating. haha

Re: I love Fall
FSI, Fall cannot get here soon enough for me. I think we have about 24 days till it's officially fall and I'm really looking forward to it. Fall has always been an exciting time for me. I love hunting for the best pumpkins and carving them. We put them on the front porch with candles in them.

That had the effect of Gene Kelly, singing "Singin' in the Rain," when you don't want to be in a musical.

Re: Our weather
Sea_Gypsy, thank you so much for the comment. It was a terrible storm and even tonight we are still hearing thunder. I'm hoping the storms clear out tomorrow and we have a nice weekend.

I wish you luck with such a terrible storm and such hot and humid weather. Driving in that is a real challenge. Yes, I do believe that was caused by the devastating hurricane and may you all be safe there.

Re: The Monsoon
Corbin, thank you so much for your comment. There's enough water in our yard to swim. I do welcome the cooler air. Is it still very hot in Kentucky?

Re: I had a similar experience here in the St. Louis metro east a week or so
Pat_B, thanks so much for the comment. I'm starting to think this weather is repeating itself all over the country.

Re: Monsoon
Kabu, thanks so much for the comment. It's cooler this evening and I'm so thankful for that. I never thought I'd be so happy to see summer leave and fall arrive.

Weather, too hot and then a Monsoon rain drowning you out. Doesn't sound very friendly or much fun. Be safe,

Re: We had the exact same issues in our area.
Sassy, our rain finally stopped but we've still got all the water in the yard. We did need rain but not all at the same exact time. On a high note though it is cooler and I'm very thankful for that. I hope the rain stops by you before you go into Pittsburgh.

I wondered if it was remnants of the hurricane too.
It poured down here last night for about 30 minutes and then all that was left for evidence was our full rain barrel. We needed it and I am so thankful for the brief rainfall.

We had the exact same issues in our area.
Today is much cooler, and the thunder is speaking her mind. I have to go to Pittsburgh later for work. I hope the rain settles down by then. Crossing my fingers.
