Re: Sassyass

Yes I agree, white lies probably help out in a lot of circumstances.

Re: Pat

Yes Pat a lot probably is illusion, but if it manages to create a little happiness perhaps at times it is O.K.

Re: Sassyass

I was introduced to telling falsehoods as a boy. We sold everything on a traveling shop, well for the time from rabbit snares to very sought after tins of Salmon. Now it was not good business to let the folk who only sought the things that were hard to obtain just walk away with the luxuries . No we saved those for the special good customers. So I was really used to saying no sorry , no bananas , no Salomon etc. With a sad smile of course ,when actually we did have a few treats reserved.

We don't know what we have until it's gone.

You're right. We do tie things with silk ribbons and fool ourselves

into forgetting what we know about what's underneath.

Boundaries are important where kindness is concerned.

Being blunt needs to be spoken through a mindful mouth from a head where softer hearts are in company. Being honest is good, but white lies can often be the better choice in the right situation.

Speaking your mind in the wrong company can be dangerous.

Not everyone embraces bluntness. As a blunt person myself, I have learned this through the years.
