It's not because they don't have access to it.... with food stamps and cards they virtually can buy anything they choose in a supermarket.

Still, until, well into the 20th century, many people who lived in cities and towns, didn't eat at all. There was Tang, in the 60s, a NASA official gave the astronauts, for a couple nutrients. Nuyrients were what mattered, before the food poisoning and germs in the news today. I include veggies on my day off. Ha.burgers have lots of zinc.
