The culprits in 9/11 had faces, this Pandemic is like a thief in the night. a healthy person can sneeze and two weeks later or so be dead.

To me, the Coronavirus seems more real. I saw New York, the Pentagon and Flight 93 on TV. The Coronavirus is impacting me directly.

Oh, I can only imagine the experience you had! Yes, something as horrifically tangible seems more real than a nebulous entity that is invisible. Also there is a second layer to the differences to contrast. There was a place or group on which to place blame when the 9/11 tragedy struck. There was a country here united in our grief, pain and indignation.
