In college, I was able to take as a general elective, senior ecology, and for my math or science requirement, senior horticulture.

I loved dissecting rats. I hate rats with a passion. I would disect my own and then go on and dissect half the class room. i knew that they were lab bred rats so clean and already dead but I got a morbid pleasure out of further destruction of them.

I hated Biology...the teacher "Miss Brooks" (no kidding)...would zone out and stare off into space during her lectures...some of us would just get up and walk out.

Biology, ugh! The minute that I heard, "dissect," I was not interested.
Our middle daughter was a shy kid. Anthing social or to do with groups was not her thing. She is now 32 and a chef at a 50s diner. She cleverly found a way to be in the public, but behind the scenes.
