Our recycling centers have closed mostly. I always recycled everything. Now our trash company forces one to do it, and they sell it and make money while charging me to have it taken away.

Because of your post I went to other sites about glass recycling because I really didn't know anything about the subject. I think I learned a few things I should have already been aware of.

I recycle glass. The pots I don't use, I wash and then put into the bin. I hope they don't scrap all that!

We have boxes for well basically glass bottles. I remove the tops but some folk just bung bottles in hilly billy.

Smart thinking. I have learned that not all glass can be recycled.
I am all for recycling anything that can be recycled. I am also into repurposing. The less crap that clutters our landfills the better. Glass from light bulbs and window panes cannot be recycled because they contain ceramics and other impurities that would contaminate the entire recycling process. For glass to be properly recycled, it has to be separated by color. It appears that there are several pros & cons when recycling glass.
