i love his work and he gradually over the years had a great positive effect For the good of the poor folks. Victorian England was not an easy place to live unless one was rich and famous.

Based on your post, he was a bit unlikable. If he were alive today,

there's a good chance our chief executive would have given him a cabinet post.
