I was fortunate that the places where I have worked were mostly men who were maybe ahead of their time. The only one who gave me any attitude at all was the boss's sons. It didn't take long to tell them where to go.

When I was twenty to twenty-three I worked in one of those "old men's clubs" (a government job) where there were four women and sixty men. I was rather naive until then.
