Of course it must have been horrid, and those mosquitoes sound terrifying. You need something like bee keepers wear to be on the safe side. I hope your forms can be completed satisfactorily . It is a sad condition, but nothing on can do.Take care.

Thank God it's all over and you are safe.

I am happy to hear that you and Graysome are safe and sound.

As much as I love a good rain storm, the house shaking from rumbling thunder scares the crap out of me too. We get tornadoes in our area too. Last year we had one so bad that it tore out porch roof off.

Re:

Same in the USA...all to give me security of my assets and the house and probably increase my financial help. It is not a perfect Country dear but is fair in Ontario anyway.

Re: dear FSI

yes it is in the same in the States. The separation is basically so that the facility cannot take the house from me to pay for Wiley's stay there.

Re: If there's a next time and you have tornado warnings (not a watch,

I had the basement on my mind of course but never having experienced a Tornado I did sort of worry about silly things like collections of stuff etc.

Re:

Taps I have no idea and your reply has left me laughing at myself. I guess race inside, garb the cat and flee to the basement. LOL.

The paperwork can be very upsetting, especially with the sort of finality of it all. I wonder if they do that in the States.

Kabu - Oh, it sounds like a miserable night and those mossies wanting to be

vampires! I am so sorry and all I can say is I hope that it is better in days and nights ahead. And then those paperworks, business things  and questionnaires! Eeeeiii! S. Sister, I am exactly the same way. Exactly. So sorry for all of that.

I'm so sorry. I know that must be difficult for you.

If there's a next time and you have tornado warnings (not a watch,

an actual warning) DO NOT go outdoors to look for it. Go to your basement. If there's no time to get to the basement, get into the bathtub - take Mr. G with you. The reason for this is that if a tree hits the house or the roof collapses, you'll have the strong walls of the tub to keep the debris from crushing you. And when it all blows over with no damage, which 90% of them do - you can shrug it off a lot sooner.   Be safe.

Wiley is a good man.  I'll bet he has never been afraid of tornadoes either.  LOL
May I ask what you would have done outside if you saw a tornado funnel coming your way?

We live in a valley, which breaks up a lot of storms, but the hillside before me is coverd with blasted trees from lightening strikes.
