Re: Re: Thank you, TAPS. I'm wondering if they sell them in stores?

And at that price, I'll just dream on....

Rhubarb gooseberries and strawberries . My helpmate has been making jam he still thinks the sales will be there. It looks like you will have plenty of work whatever happens.

I've never seen anything but canned and they are just not the same.   You can buy frozen on the internet.  They would make great pies but they cost almost $20 per pound.

For sure, FSI!

My dogs enjoy it too - first they like thee smell, then they usually end up with a small sample of whatever it is.

I like the idea of cooking instead of doing the cleaning. That's way more fun, LOL.

TAPS - you just made my mouth water!!

My grandma made gooseberry pies too, and jam! I haven't seen a gooseberry in a coon's age!

Haha Corbin! Got the granny panties on and that gets things done!

Yep- I do the lattice tops too sometimes, Pat_B

As for the garbage bag, I just about suffocated myself! No - I won't tell you the      (w)hole story. We'll just forget than endeavor , ok?

There is nothing quite like a homemade strawberry rhubarb pie with a good cup of coffee.  Mom used to make them.   The only thing I liked better was gooseberry pie made with homegrown gooseberries.  Can't find them anymore but I sure remember.

You are definitely tough enough to handle it!

Mom used to bake strawberry-rhubarb pies in June... We had the

rhubarb and strawberries growing in the garden. She made a lattice top if memory serves. Sounds like a wonderful time with the family. Tip: one giant garbage bag with holes cut for sleeves is what I've seen nurses use to improvise PPEs on TV...

Re: I am intrigued by the idea of a Covid body suit

Haha Shams-i-Heartsong! It was clear garbage bags that I attempted to fashion as a cover-all suit. I lost the battle.

I actually consider myself lucky, Slam

My children and 3 of my 7 grandchidren (the others are too young) have their own jobs so I have no need to worry about anything except myself, my dogs and my parrot. I would not want to be in the position of so many young families today!

adnohr - Thank you!

Oh, yes, your smiling post brightened up my night and will carry over into the daylight hours. I’m glad the party was a huge success and the smiles were plentiful. Like you, I’d rather cook than clean any day. Rhubarb and strawberry pie! Mmm. Three months is a long time to not see the family. Too long. And your job seems to need you more and more. A good day to you this day!

Worry

We are very worried around here, I don't know anyone who is not under threat of economic disaster. I can't see a way out of it yet.
