Re: Pat,

Yes, it seems very much a maturity thing. Acknowledging, also, that a lot of kids get stuck, never outgrow it. They stay selfish, self-centered, and resentful of anyone trying to urge them towards adulthood. And they express it so often with anger and aggression--passive or otherwise.

There's a lot of arrogant belief in their own immortality among some

younger people - they don't fear the virus, don't have enough maturity to feel responsibe for the safety of others. Not a judgment, just part of the brain's development. Others mistakenly think the mask issue is political. (go figure) I feel safer when people around me in the store are masked and careful about keeping their distance. Thank you to all who care.

Re: TAPS,

I like having the deck out front to make a 'sitting garden' but by the end of summer, I am mightily tired of keeping up with all the watering!  It's all carrying water through the house a bucket at a time, and not too heavy, either!

Re: Shams-i-Heartsong,

Here, too, a lot of people aren't wearing masks. I imagine some actually have good reasons for making that choice, other than fearing to look outlandish, or just finding them uncomfortable. I have an acquaintance who has serious claustrophobic problems and can't tolerate the restricted breathing. He works in a store that requires all employees to wear masks. I don't know how he has resolved this.

I love your choices of garden additions.  Gardening was in my blood when I had a yard.  Here it is against the rules for renters to mess with the yards.  They have a yard service that takes care of everything all year round.  They keep up the flower gardens but I've never seen any vegetables anywhere on the grounds.

Here in Boonville, Mo I see less than 1 in 10 wearing masks
