Entering Mexico some of it reminded me of a couple of the Greek Islands.

We used to live near the Mexico border when we lived in Yuma.
We were able to purchase clothing, food, and prescription drugs without the prescription for next to nothing. Tijuana was a bit dirty, but the street food was good. Our favorite was Algodones, Mexico. Doctors, dentists, and handmade goods were always a good reason for the road trip.
