Ciel - it’s a time of learning and reflection for us.

There is so much to say. All of us who are cogent will have learned the lessons we need to lear, perhaps. I feel like just going to the grocery store to get fresh food though. But I won’t. And I sure don’t like Daughter out. May have to ask though...

I am not minding my Quarintine actually although I do need someone to collect the mail if I can find someone. My days are flying by. If i could visit Wiley then I would really be happy...or if i could throw this cough.

Those of us who have yards are truly blessed...

and our house is situated next to a marina, so we are off to ourselves, but the river worries me a bit since the waterways have been affected by COVID-19. We are still mostly healthy and working, but we worry about our parents and daughters who aren't fairing as well. This crisis is a fore to reckon with, that is for damn sure.

I am wondering the same. I believe that we are being God smacked...

This pandemic is forcing us to change our ways, and that is not all bad. Technology, a lack of family gatherings due to busy lives, and caring about others during hard times is something that need's to be revisited. We will all one day look back and reflect on the things that we had to do to survive and be stronger for it.

If by 'modern world' you mean one that is kinder and more equitable,

then I have to say this is an outcome 'devoutly to be wished.' This virus is no respecter of status or power - but it seems to be taking a bigger chunk out of the African American and poor, who don't have the luxury of sheltering in place. This makes some of Bernie Sanders' initiatives seem much more important - and maybe now, possible.
