That is one smart strategy. I heard on the news that it can take awhile.
We have not had to deal with this issue, but several of our family members are going through the hassle. We all need those stimulus checks to be delivered, ASAP.

The bureaucratic merry-go-round works even better in busy times,
sending people who need their services spinning. This time there seems to be a reason - the extreme numbers of people needing help and a whole new reason for the unemployment claims. When the routine changes, chaos ensues. Best of luck to all the applicants stuck in unemployment hell.
