Also there would have been no oversight that would preclude Trump pumping money into his own businesses. Do you really trust he wouldn't do this? I am an Independent voter. I have no party loyalty. I check the facts for myself and do not depend on the truth being told by either party.

No but I do have common sense. Having the states and other countries bid against each other and the supplies and ventilators and these going to the highest bidder is not getting the supplies to where they need to be. The President states companies are voluntering to make supplies but there is no direction on how to do this or which companies should be making what supplies. The companies are telling the govenors they need help with changing equipment over to make the supplies. They need workers who know how to build ventilators. The goverment can coordinate this making the supply chain seamless and getting the supplies to where the critical need is. Have you listened to Govenor Cuomo? He has a plan that will save lives if his state can get needed supplies. Otherwise Dr.s will have to decide who lives and who dies like Italy. If your family member is judged not worth saving, how would you feel? The message from Trump changes daily. Now magically the virus will be gone by Easter when the experts are telling him no it won't. We have not tested enough to know if areas of the country that have lower rates of infection are really virus free. Trump has one priority and that is MONEY not human lives. He has no understanding of the transmission and course of the virus. This is obvious listening to his answers at news conferences.

The medication is already in use for malaria, lupus and RA. The problem is the safety of the drug for treatment of the coronavirus. The experts are saying do not use until safety factors and actual improvement can be scientifically proven. There have already been deaths due to DIY, hording and price gauging by the drug companies. The Democrats were seeking oversight of the monies given to corperations so they would not do buy backs of stocks with monies given. Also the Republicans did not have provisions for the healthcare system to receive monies along with protection of workers who have lost jobs.

The incompetence of our leadership is phenomenal in this crisis. Anyone who trusts and follows his pronouncements... Well, as I've said before and in multiple places, stupidity is one of Nature's best tools of selection.
It's a shame--in every sense of the word--that we ever let this mentally deficient man into the White House.
