And here we are worrying about our water freezing in the pipes if the heat isn't on high enough. You, my dear Aussie/Canadian, know both extremes.

Terrible for those losing homes and very tiring to work under those conditions. Did you get my email?

Love the hot temps so long as humidity is not a part of the deal. One day I will visit Wales where my ancestors dwell.

Re: I think of you every time they report conditions in Australia.

The real climate change is ....Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring.

The dog days of summer are upon Australia. Hopefully, they can get some relief.

That would be hard to get used to...

I think of you every time they report conditions in Australia.

Really can't understand the resistance to believing in climate change, when it's so pervasive all over the world. I like the idea of building homes differently so as to take advantage of the underground temps - but that will also need to include a way to deal with extreme rains & flooding. Once (if) humans really focus on it, I have hope we can solve these problems.

yikes...we had high temps like that in Missouri this summer. Now I am in the land of high temperatures and love it!

That's very hot. Makes Christmas shopping a little different than in this hemisphere. What a cute story about naptime. I could never lie on the hard wooden floors either. Here the missions were built so that they stay cool even on very hot days. It's truly amazing.

I am wondering if all of Australia is going to have to follow the Koober Pedy housekeeping model, and go underground to deal with the heat. And some of the other places in the world, too. Or maybe build with super-thick walls--artificial cave-like things. We can't afford the costs of air-conditioning in such extreme heat!
