P.D. thinks he got rid of the one giving him trouble, but I have a feeling that's not the end of it. They seem to be pretty persistent. He's had to deal with that situation ever since he and Phil moved to that area.

The woodchucks or groundhogs in P.D.'s area are big. They would make three or four squirrels each. and there are quite a lot of them. One day when I was in his yard I saw a half-dozen or so come out of the woods and over to a neighbor's shed and disappear. I think they got in it or under it some how.

One has to be firm from the start the only thing I know about Woodchucks is a little part rhyme,How much wood can a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck chucks all day. Gosh I don't even know where it came from about like your son's .

I know what he means. I don't want any critters either. I once had a chipmunk in my home workshop. I was dancing around it. Yucky.

I had a pet raccoon named RorayRaccoon, His family was killed by a lightning strike, he was the only one left.

My son has a wire cage trap he bought to catch raccoons that were
climbing into his attic. He takes them a couple miles down the road to a wooded area off to the side of the levee next to the Mississippi.
