A friend of mine in his 90s once told me a saying of his.
"Work sweetens life." In his 90s he used to recycle old tv sets - take them apart and sell the precious metals inside for salvage, make storage cabinets, etc. with the wooden parts - he was a retired carpenter and woodworker. Having a purpose, and a little money coming in, really does sweeten life. Good job!
