- Go to 9-11: Patriot Day (according to my calendar)
And while we mourn it here, some around the world celebrate it. It's so terriby sad what humans do to each other for the sake of...what?

It was a pivotal point for this country and the feeling afterward of all of us being united here in the United States was the only good thing to come out of it, in my opinion.

I also was in the Pac NW, in Olympia, and got up just in time that morning to see the live coverage. At that point, I was not analyzing, imagining or speculating about what would come next, I was just watching, shocked, as that day unfolded.
I've had many thoughts since about the plane that went down in Pennsylvania, and the courage it took for the passengers to make it happen. Since then, the question has arisen whether it was actually shot down, but I think the phone calls from passengers to loved ones speak for the awareness that crashing it was the only choice.

I always find it interesting to find out what people were doing on September 11th. What had seemed like a regular old day turned into anything but.
