I wonder if those in the future will look back on our times right now as being the cutting edge, the dawn of an ephiphany, the start to finding the core of now-held "secrets" of science in respect to determining the basis of life, religion and science. So much is possible to consider. Perhaps they will look back at us they way we view some of Leonardo's ideas today.
