In my own mind I know what happened here. The keys were not in my apron when we went out to get my spare. They were in the apron when we got back. There was only one other person in the house, who must have found them after all, who put them there and hoped nothing would be said. He had, unusually, looked back at me from the porch as he was leaving late morning for the squash club. I rest my case.

Re:
I don't feel bad, Corbin - just mystified ..haha. Keys are not something I generally lose... but, my glasses - at least six times a day. Can't see 'em when I put them down somewhere absent mindedly.

Re:
Hi RPresta ... I agree. Very, very odd that they didn't make a sound the first time I had it on. I suggested to my partner that he might have a poltergeist.

Thanks Taps ... this will be three weeks now since I've sung - annual holiday, lost keys and a Rugby match (we won). Hopefully the voice will sound better for having rested..lol.

Re:
Thanks FSI ... I can tell you I was royally fed-up ... especially having to fork out a lot of money for no reason.

Re:
The funny thing is, CT, there was nothing in my pocket except earplugs (for when stepson has the sport on too loud). And when I tried an experiment, putting the keys in there and then testing if they made a noise when I put the apron on ... they made a noise. Weird.

Goodness ,I hate losing things, sadly we usually panic and never look in an obvious place. Pefhaps you had a hanky pushed in your pocket. Never mind it won't be a problem until the next time, says me.

As someone who has lost many a key, I know that empty and panicky feeling. It's no fun.

What a tale you told here. LOL. Though I'm certain that it was not funny at the time. I used to love to sing in the church choir. Somewhere along the way I suffered about three different bouts of laryngitis and afterwards my singing voice was never very pleasant again.

It's something we all do. Finding them in your apron pocket was unusual.

Don't feel bad...I have no problem in losing the keys more than once a day.
