It really did work out well at the start, but the manager who hired him got fired in a messy domestic situation. Her replacement is cheery and all, and likes him, but she is rather a bigot, and her husband is amusing, but he is also an IRA Irishman, who loves conspiracy theorizing... Charlie comes home some days very tired of all that. They like him and treat him well, but even so... He does not suffer bigots and conspiracy theorist well.
But the manager's manager was promoted and his replacement seems to be one of those insecure bully types who wants everything 'orderly.' Everyone moved up a notch, it seems, regardless of competence or a good sense of management.
I see this as his opportunity to ditch the day job, as he puts it, and commit more fully to his art. Hence, the Patreon thing.

Thanks for visiting his site! He puts so much into it, both heart and hands! And though tis the Mom who says it, he really has the talent and energy to make a go of it. His Patreon patrons will have a great ring-side seat on his evolving creativity!
