Thank you for your thoughtful response.  I looked up which trranslation was used.  It was the New Revised Standard translation.  If you really wan (t to stretch your understanding, check out the translation of the Lord's prayer directly from the Arameic, the language, Jesus spoke.  Tou can find this work in the writings of Neal Douglas Klotz., Prayers of the Cosmos available on Amazon)

Your Bible quotes

I am a Christian also, so I would like to know which version of the Bible you are drawing your quotes from, for the Lord's prayer that you posted as script is certainly not what is deemed as a standard translation.  I was raised in the Methodist church, but have become more liberal in my views of Jesus since studying The Urantia Book, which goes into much greater details of the life and times of Jesus...this prayer you listed is not what Christ said to his disciples based upon the different sources I have read, but it does reflect the general meaning of His teachings.  As long as it works for you, that is the most important aspect.  God Bless....Barry
