But this is how I was brought up, I think, which is not to say one cannot become misguided. Teaching from childhood to be true to oneself, to be honest, to observe, to consider the variations of situations and the possible outcomes are all helpful, though.

Dear Presta sister, we must follow our essence of the soul but it is very difficult to observe it in toto. We invariably get misguided by our free will and the dilemma is always there. Our decisions are taken as is our wont. But to follow the principles needs long practice and meditation and self-sacrifice. That would be the correct interpretation. Thanks sis

That is why it remains Sanatana. I'm back from my US visit. Went to Chicago, San Fransisco, Denver, New Jersey and Boston. Enjoyed the country and the weather there. Luckily the day we came it had rained and the weather since then in Rajasthan is quite agreeable. 50 degrees is record heat we didn't experience earlier. Hope all's well at your end, so is Ashokji too. Saw your DP ... good.

I suppose it really depends on the characters involved . A few have that charisma that can convince. This must take ages to construct I do admire your fortitude.
