Aba brother

So much scholarly opinion has been written of late (since Shakespeare's time - lol) about Cleopatra. Yet, it is his portrayal of her death which continues to mesmerize us, as you say. Again, this most made me think, and actually research the latest on Cleopatra. Thank you, immensely. You always challenge the mind/brain to reach higher. Well done.

Re: C C T

Thank you for your in-depth reading which gladdens me no end. I’ve not seen the film so I’ll not be qualified to comment that mine is a more realistic representation of the story. But I sure do try and research into the in between lines so as to understand the perspective as closely as the writer himself meant. Tx, once again.

Thank you for this  . I have wondered at times what was the deeper content behind the well known characters. We have all heard of them but I expect the film was not as realistic as your explanation.

My favorite Shakespearean Play....I remember when the movie came out in 1963 with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Bruton.
