CCT, I would so miss my wood stove in the snowy winter!
Not just for the atmosphere, but also because it helps keep my electric heating costs lower. What is not bad for the environment nowadays? My money is on the trees too!

For sure busy, FSI!
I've been reading you all for a long time without having the energy to comment much. It is my way of mellowing out when I come in here. Much needed, so thank you for being part of that!

Thank you Pat_B!
Unfortunately my Habs didn't make it to the finals, although they surprised us this year and put on a really good show! Now I get to watch the US teams battle it out. And it's still raining, which isn't a problem for me, but sure playing havoc with the surrounding areas!

Well I don't feel like writing today, but I hope that you are keeping fit.
We have had one of the mildest winters for onks.
The walnut trees in the old field are coming into leaf.
I helped my Dad plant them over 6o years ago.
For the first ten years they were scorched by late frosts
. Having learned this lesson they began to come out after the frosts ceased.
Although we have an Arctic inflow this weekend they are in small leaf.
I wonder if they got it wrong this year, but my money is on the trees.
My friend is still cutting up pallets for firewood, everyone bought wood stoves,
just a craze and now we are told they are bad for the environment.

I think of you often - every time I catch part of a hockey game on TV
or hear the scores. Miss your smiling face on Blogit, but good decision to write those daily letters for your guy. Go Adnohr! Here's hoping the rains let up and your roads get back to ordinarily interesting very soon. Welcome back!

Adnohr - Hi!
I'm glad to read your post, and hear what's been going on. You are so lucky to have family return. As you say the house doesn't stay empty long. Your doggies are happy, the job is holding steady, the weather will improve, and you're on the side of a mountain.

How great to read you again!
Life goes on non-stop, one thing after another and usually overlapping, forget about after! I'm glad you're above the waterline, that your doggies have the freedom of the yard again, that your house will be a bit quieter until the next shuffle...!
