Re: TAPS,
Right... I am trying to get in the trips, memories, and photos while I still can! Even now, not so much a solo traveler as my first overseas trip--Italy, in 2002. The real problems are just about all to do with health and ailments.

Re: Pat,
Yeah, you probably won't need a visa for that trip! Sounds like a good time!

Re: Corbin Dallas,
The key thing is to take each thing one at a time, find out what you need, how to get it, then get it. Also, to get assistance from experts and save the headache!

Re: RPresta,
The key thing is to remember to check these things out well before the trip! Lucky I had someone to mention them to me, or I might not have done that in time.

It sounds like a real mess to me. I'm glad I don't intend to do any traveling out of the USA. In my old age I like simple and comfort. But it is fun to read of your escapades.

Interesting, and a lot to think about. I expect the farthest I'll be
traveling may be a weekend to Nashville, TN - my granddaughter recently moved there for her new job and it's only 4 hours or so distant, they speak English and the food is good. And then there's the music...

All good advice for us. Each place is different. How can one know all one must do, with so many variables? Thank you. Experience certainly helps...
