My brother woke up in the middle of the night because he heard a scratching sound in his ear, and thought he felt something moving. He got up and poured some hydrogen peroxide in his ear, and out crawled an earwig! Ewwwwwwwwwww.

Glad you're OK
Of all the things the bleeding could have been, I'm glad it was an ear infection (I hesitate to mention what I thought it was).
