Re:
Burt Lancaster has always been my favorite swash buckler. I think my grandpa informed me of my nordic roots when that movie came out. I saw it at the Saturday matinee in North Bend, Washington. A couple hundred kids all becoming vikings at the same time. All hale Odin- all hale Ragnar. I was nine at the time, what funny things blogs bring to mind!!!

Great Viking picture. "Hail Ragnar" I still remember seeing the 1958 movie "The Vikings" and the old hag crying "Odin turn the tide" so that the slave would not be eaten by the multitude of crabs.
