It sounds like you were living too close to the MIL. I'd say an hour away should be the minimum distance, LOL.
One of the biggest responses Ann Landers got in her columb was in regard to how people mount their toilet paper. It's serious stuff.

Oh my goodness! She sounds just like Agnes, my MIL. One of my cousins had a MIL like that too. Was that a sign of those times?...or are MIL's still like that?

Pat - They is a GREAT post! Hysterical, except that it had to be you in it.
It bugs the #*@% out of me when the paper is facing the "wrong" way, as your MIL arranged yours. When did Jesus tell anybody which way to place the roll? That woman was a real piece of work, I imagine. Yikes. Poor you.

Well I am not really surprised Pat. Not long ago relatively speaking folk believed in Adam and Eve. Myths have always played a part in human evolution. I suppose in a way it was a form of comfort...
